Presenting Artists

Pasqualina Azzarello
Pasqualina Azzarello is a painter, public muralist, educator, and community advocate and serves as the City Arts Coordinator at Easthampton City Arts. Working within grassroots, nonprofit, and academic channels, she works with others to cultivate generative spaces, initiatives, and partnerships that are innovative, collaborative, and inclusive of all participants. Throughout her unique professional path, each experience has been driven by core values including a profound belief in the creative potential of individuals and communities.

Samson King
King’s work finds domestic forms, stature, and overgrown naturescapes living in monochromatic or colorful abstract realms. In this show, pieces use horror vacui to evoke repetition, ritual and routine, finding form in disorder. “align themselves” is a body of new drawings and paintings in ink, marker, pencil and oil. Samson graduated from Montserrat College of Art in 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Art and has been making work since in Northampton.

Christy Patrick
Christy Patrick currently resides in Easthampton where she also has a studio at Cottage Street Studios. She earned her MFA in 2D Studies from UMass, Amherst in 2002. Christy has taught at area colleges and has exhibited locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. Working primarily on paper with mixed media to create constructed urban landscapes, Christy also paints in oils to express her love for cityscapes, the narrative and light.

Joshua Ruder
Joshua Ruder is primarily a figurative sculptor living and working in Greenfield, MA.  He studied Visual Art at Brown University, where he graduated with honors. He creates sculptures using stone and metal that are considered scrap, looking beyond their dirty and cracked facades to imagine the beauty contained within, and then working to bring that out.

Elizabeth Stone & Eva Fierst
Elizabeth Stone is a self-trained artist whose work deals with the human figure.  In recent years her portraits and figure paintings have evolved into three dimensional conceptual pieces.  Elizabeth teaches, curates exhibits, and advocates for other artists in the Western Mass region. She has shown her art regionally and nationally.  Three (dis)Graces is her first collaborative piece.
