The ArtSalon goes to Northampton, May 5!

At Click Workspace in Northampton

This month’s ArtSalon will be at Click Workspace in Northampton. The evening begins at 6:30pm with mingling and light refreshments, and presentations start at 7pm.
Food and drink will be provided by Tart Baking Company, Con Vino Wine Bar, Ellie’s Oils and Fort Hill Brewery.

A brief Q&A period with the artists follows the presentations.

Helander Post

Yun PostMary Yun is an architect and principal of maryyunSTUDIO, a multidisciplinary architecture and design practice centered on project-based creativity. Her architectural career spans twenty-seven years beginning with a thirteen-year tenure with Michael Graves and Associates working on numerous award winning academic, institutional and commercial buildings. Mary began working on residential and small commercial projects in 2003 after moving to Northampton, MA, forming the partnership, Rice Yun Architects (2006-2015). She received her Bachelor of Science in Architecture at the University of Virginia, and Master of Architecture degree at Princeton University. Mary resides in Northampton with her husband, composer David Sanford and her two children. www.maryyunSTUDIO.com

Casis PostDonnabelle Casis is an artist working in painting and drawing. Her work questions how images are interpreted and contextualized to form our daily experience. She has exhibited her work in numerous solo and group exhibitions in galleries and museums throughout the US. She received the Neddy Artist Fellowship in Painting granted by the Benhke Foundation, a New Works Laboratory residency from 911 Media Arts Center to create a multi-media installation with filmmaker Dave Hanagan entitled “Reverb”, and was awarded an Ellen Battel Stoekel Fellowship to attend the Yale-Norfolk Summer Program. She holds an MFA in painting from the University of Washington. Donnabelle is also the founder of Florence Night Out, a community celebration “which pools creative energy into one big festival, one night at a time.” Although Valley Free Radio has taken over the production of the event, Donnabelle is co-curating the art portion with local writer Carla Costa. Krauss Post

Since receiving her MFA from the Rhode Island School of Design, Alyssa Dee Krauss has been working to create jewelry as a fine art form. She has been awarded fellowships from the National Endowment for the Arts, the New Jersey Council on the Arts, and Arts International’s Residency at Giverny.  Alyssa’s work is in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Arts and Design in NY, as well as, the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, and the Montreal Museum of Art.  Her work exhibits internationally, and has often been featured in art, fashion and industry publications, major newspapers, and television. Alyssa, a passionate teacher of the art and poetry of jewelry making, happily travels to lecture and lead workshops. She lives, teaches, ponders, and tinkers in the Connecticut River Valley of Western Massachusetts. www.alyssadeekrauss.com
