Mira Ishii is a multi disciplinary visual artist currently living and working in Western Massachusetts. She attended Greenfield Community College from 2008-2010 and received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago in May 2013 with an emphasis in photography and sculpture. She makes use of photographs, cast metal sculpture, mold making and installation to explore the phenomenology of home and family and how these things are tied to the meanings and value assigned to uninhabited spaces. Her work has been included in a number of shows in Massachusetts and Illinois. She is currently applying to graduate school and working as a studio assistant to a photographer and in the photography lab at Amherst College.

Christin Couture has a BFA in painting from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, studied at the Brooklyn Museum Art School, the Art Students’ League of New York, and in Bologna, Italy. She has received Fellowships from the MacDowell Colony, Yaddo, the Millay Colony, and Fondation Karolyi, France. Couture has exhibited at the Brattleboro Museum & Art Center; the Decordova Museum & Sculpture Park; Boston University Art Gallery; University Museum of Contemporary Art, UMass, Amherst; A.P.E. Gallery, Northampton, MA. She was a founding member of the Art Bank, a community art school and performance space in Shelburne Falls, and has been actively involved in local arts organizations.

William Hosie has a BA from Skidmore College, and a BFA and MFA from the University of Pennsylvannia, where he studied with Robert Engman and Maurice Lowe.  Major artistic working effort since mid 1980’s in NYC has been an extended body of related work taking form as ‘Sitings’. This corpus continues to transform and grow in scope, kept intact as part of the artist’s studio environment. Hosie has had solo exhibitions at the University Museum of Contemporary Art, UMass, Amherst; the Brattleboro Museum; & Art Center; the DeCordova Museum, & Sculpture Park, Lincoln, MA; Tabor Gallery, Holyoke, MA, and group exhibitions at A.P.E. Gallery, Northampton, MA; Dabora Gallery, Brooklyn, NY; “Art In Odd Places” NYC; DownStreet Art, North Adams, MA; Storefront Artists Space, Pittsfield, MA

Kiki Smith is a professional costume designer with over 75 professional design credits mostly for companies in New York and New England.  She is a founding member of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox and works frequently with the Talking Band Company in New York.  She received an Obie Award from the Village Voice for her designs for the Talking Band’s production of A Painted Snake in a Painted Chair. Kiki is a professor in the Theatre Department at Smith College, where, since 1974, she teaches costume design and directs the Smith College Historic Clothing Collection.  She graduated from Smith in 1971, received her MA from the University of Virginia and her MFA from the University of Texas.

Anita Hunt is a printmaker. She grew up in Ohio and studied art at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio, before attending the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. She has lived in western Massachusetts for 25 years and is a long time studio member and instructor at Zea Mays Printmaking in Florence. Her work has shown nationally at The International Print Center, New York, Highpoint Center for Printmaking, the Janet Turner Print Museum and The Print Center, Philadelphia, among many other venues.

John Sendelbach, also known as “Johnnybach”, earned his bachelor’s degree in horticulture at Cornell University and received his masters in landscape architecture at the Umass Amherst. His work in metal and stone draws upon a continuum of experiences as garden designer/builder, stonemason, and graphic artist. He is most known for “Brookie”, a graceful ten foot silver sculpture of a brook trout, and the stone fountain on the Bridge of Flowers.
