Nannette VonnegutNannette Vonnegut has lived in Northampton for over 30 years.  She graduated from The Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in printmaking in 1978.  When Nanny Vonnegut returned to printmaking in recent years, she noticed how much she loves the directness of transfer drawing—especially how it involves a kind of controlled mess. Through her monoprint-making process, Vonnegut acknowledges allowing a lot of ‘plate noise,’ which produces an image that looks like it’s “peeking through an old mirror that has lost its silvered glass in places.”
